At some point in my teenage years I encountered the strange, I did not understand or decipher it more than as an impulse of intuition that escapes what I can or cannot name.
During the quarantine lockdown I found myself dreaming intensely, streams and streams of dreams like liquid they fell from my eyes and mouth. I was not with fear, nor joy neither sadness nor wonder. But trying to decipher that walk with friends who disappear or change their faces in ruins of places that I did not know, in deserted fairs, with the flood at our feet and the fires behind us.
These sounds are that flow, that unknown familiarity that I try to say, but better I let her pass

After 25 minutes of wandering piano keys, gurgling and whirring electronics, unidentified field recordings, solemn French horn and plucked bass, we reach something resembling a “song” at the tape’s end. It’s not the destination, but the journey, some might say, but in this case, the earthy headphone muck asks if the dream quest ever truly ends. https://www.vikingschoice.org/archive/amp-stacked-ambient-japanese-folk-black-rave/ Lars Gotrich

this is a stunning release. so easy to be absorbed by the atmospheres of these recordings. beyond a simple capturing of these spaces, the mixing of different sonic elements lifts them to new emotional heights; a careful assemblage of environments that remain in your head and heart. ethan vaniderstine
Written and recorded on a reed organ, “HULDA” is a haunting work of sustained drone that is simultaneously soothing & unsettling. Bandcamp New & Notable May 15, 2023

Music has come to guide a lot of my emotional experiences this last few years and I am eternally grateful for Rosso Polare's music in playing a role in that. Harsh Agarwal
